VTCT Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing Level 3 19+

OVERVIEW

This qualification is intended to provide an understanding of the sector and the vocational skills and knowledge required at level 3 standard. It also provides an awareness of the range of jobs and work settings in the sector and will enable candidates to make informed decisions about careers in the sector.

During this course all aspects of advanced colouring, colour correction and advance cutting will be covered, including:

  • UV30491: Health and safety
  • UV30506: Consultation
  • UHB338: Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques
  • UV30496: Creatively style and dress hair
  • UV30497: Colour hair using a variety of techniques
  • UV30435: Promote and sell products and services
  • UV30498: Creative design skills
  • UV40519: Hair and scalp specialist services

Studying with us means practical, hands-on workshops, group sessions, expert guest speakers, visits to local employers, wellbeing drop-ins, chill out time … the list goes on. 

As part of the course, you will also take part in an external work placement to help you develop your confidence and skills to stand out from the crowd. 

Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing.

The assessments for the qualification require the candidates to undertake:

  • Practical tasks which will be observed
  • Knowledge and understanding assignments
  • Online tests

There will be a mixture of theory and practical lessons.

Successful completion could allow progression to further study such as our VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management or in to employment as a fully qualified hairdresser.

Kit will be provided. Work experience is necessary.
